Are you on the list? That's the No-Fly List, not the Heroes List, or even the List that the Hostiles keep on Lost.

The net is tightening around Turd Blossom.

Just what was that gray smoke over Atlanta two weeks ago?

Have you heard anything juicy lately?

Update from Mel: Jenna is taking the new Red Clay Democrats' blog out for a spin today with two entries about DOJ and Gitmo. Look for entries from all the Red Clay Dems shortly. I've added them to our feed.

  • I'm looking for another feed of Georgia political news. Does anyone have a favorite? Or at least one? I'm tinkering with the widgets at right until we get the real thing from Grift.

  • 1 question for Duke fans - who's your daddy?? That would be Virginia Commonwealth Union. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=274000008

  • Soon! Very soon! I told my chief engineer that if I didn't have something very soon I would be fighting off a mob!

  • I wish I had suggestions for Georgia news. I would be inclined to not include Georgia Political/Daily Digest - it's just daily RW talking points post lately. But, that's just me.

  • That's the problem. Almost all political news in this State can be summed up as R talking points.

  • In Randy's defense, he doesn't offer commentary, but he (they) do personally select the stories, which means there's some degree of editorializing in the choices, as there would be in ours.

I noticed Tim Darnell is compiling top stories on IA, but of course there's no feed. Not that I'd want one anyway.

  • Hey Where is Georgia Unfiltered on the feed? JK ;)

Last night's meeting while not big was good. Thanks to the YDs who attended.

Also, big thanks to everyone who has offfered support.

Yall remember my site, Im still working on it...THIS weekend will be its launch...maybe... :(

  • The stories selected are commentary.

  • has anyone been watching valerie plame testify? rep. lynn westmoreland is such a doob. and what's with the guy in the audience wearing the pink jackie o. suit jacket?

  • Usually the folks in hot pink, are "Code Pink" anti-war folks... they are all over DC, go to everything with the posibility of getting on camera.

Later on their was a regular looking guy who held up a sign that said "impeach yet?" It was during Knoller questioning.

Talk about a boob.. he had "brownie" written all over him.

  • just for you Paula:

"What appeared to be a transvestite Code Pink protester joined the Valerie Plame hearing wearing a t-shirt with the words “Impeach Bush” written on it. The protester made several signals with his/her fingers."

  • "A bill that would permanently establish April as Confederate History and Heritage Month in Georgia sailed through a Senate committee Thursday without any opposition."

"Sen. Jeff Mullis (R-Chickamauga), the sponsor of Senate Bill 283, told the Senate Rules Committee that the proposal would help promote tourism in the state and preserve an important part of the state's and the nation's history."

There are 3 Democrats on the Senate Rules Committee: David Adelman (DeKalb county - white/Jewish/male), Gloria Butler (DeKalb county - black/female) plus Dem George Hooks - Americus - white/male). And "Confederate History and Heritage Month in Georgia" sails through this committee???!!!

  • I would like to know if "Confederate History and Heritage Month" allows me the constitutional right to 1. burn houses in Atlanta during this month, 2. destroy railroads (in particular MARTA), 3. burn bridges (in particular the stupid 17th street bridge), 4. keep slaves for 30 days (there are some fine menfolk I would like to keep for 30 days).

If Georgia is going to celebrate...then let's celebrate and do it right!! C'mon Confederate history is our history, right? Think of the tourism opportunities if people were allowed to burn houses from Atlanta to Savannah.

  • Trackboy your shit is starting to piss me the fuck off.

There are three Democrats on teh committee, that means (excluding ex-officio memebers) they make up only 25% of taht committee meaning (if you can do some god damned math) they are essentially powerless.

stop being a fuck head and realize that democrats are worse than castrated in the General Assembly.

Look at the republicans 15-20 years ago, they had no more power than we do now but you want to insist on your fucking bull shit that somehow democrats can muster some power in an institution SPECIFCALLY DESIGNED to keep them powerless.

    grow a brain.

  • On no, I offended indie_rock_elitist! How can I sleep at night?

Here's the playbook Adelman, Bulter and Hooks should/could have used: Invited all forms of media, yes, inclduing bloggers, to a press conference, and loudly state that this "Confederate History and Heritage Month" legislation is ridiculous and borderline racist, if not simply racist. And that is a time when the state Senate is facing important, complex issues like securing long-term funding for PeachCare, the Dem's on the Senate Rules Comm. are going to focus on the truly important issues facing all Georgians. And if Repub's want to waste their time on such idiocy as this, then every voter in the state needs to know that this is the example of what the state Repub party values.

"worse than castrated in the General Assembly". Stop whining and get Dem's, all GA Dem;s, metro or rural, to start making stands, especially when something as flagrant as this comes up, which would call for making a stand no matter which party was in the majority. And why isn't Andrew Young, Julian Bond, Joseph Lowery, etc. going nuts about this proposed lunacy?

  • Trackboy, you dont seem to get it. If they do that they get even less power so shut the fuck up and stop your fucking bull shit.

Legislative bodies dont work they way they do in your Pollyannaish day dreams by inviting all forms of media, yes, inclduing bloggers to a god damned press conference.

Tell me who, honestly gives a flying fuck about the Democrats in georgia now? which media outlets are going to come to our press conferences on legislation we can't influence?

And honestly i dont give two shits if you care about me or not.

The tranny-baiting is getting old. REALLY old.
