Virgilio Perez Pascoe
Constituency Group Vice Chair
Democratic Party of Georgia

In January of this year, Virgilio Perez Pascoe was elected to the position of 3rd Vice-Chair of the Democratic Party of Georgia. As the Constituency Group Vice-Chair, Virgilio will share new ideas and plans for constituency outreach that will involve our support.

You may remember meeting Virgilio during his campaign for this DPG position, but you may not be aware of his unique qualifications and experience. During his 30+ years as a businessman, his life long interest in world cultures and history has been the backdrop for his success in adapting to and working within diverse cultures during his professional career.

He honed his general management and negotiating skills in Egypt, Mexico, Ecuador and Colombia while acquiring and/or running companies for Pepsico (both snacks and bottling groups). In 1997, he moved to the US where he exercised his strategic knowledge at Coors as it consolidated and expanded its operations in the Caribbean and Mexico. Throughout his remarkable career, he has developed an interest in researching the phenomenon of cultural blending whether by immigration, by business development, or by educational contact and accreditation.

Virgilio is fascinated by Georgia history and the key role that our State has played at crucial times in the life of the country. He believes that we are at another crucial stage. One in which we need to create a political home for the increasingly diverse constituencies in Georgia, as well as to find ways in which our party's myriad constituencies can work more effectively together to achieve common goals.

Virgilio is a man of ideas and action, and we are fortunate to have the benefit of his service to our party.

Rashad Taylor
Political Director
Democratic Party of Georgia

Recently named one of Campaigns & Elections Magazine's 2007 Rising Stars, Rashad Taylor is the newly hired Political Director of the Democratic Party of Georgia. Before signing on with the DPG, Rashad served as a principal at Capital Strategies, one of Georgia's leading Democratic political and fund-raising consulting firms. He has managed the campaigns for the state's youngest elected officials, many of whom were significant underdogs. Those campaigns include Alisha Thomas-Morgan, the state's youngest representative and the first African American from Cobb County to serve in the state legislature, who won in a District that was only 52 percent Democratic and 74 percent white. Rashad has been on the job less than two weeks, but will share with us some of his immediate plans to realize the promise of this important position within the Democratic Party of Georgia.

Tim Cairl
Executive Director
Young Democrats of Georgia

Tim Cairl has been working to further Democratic goals and values for all of his adult life and much of his adolescence. He is a veteran of numerous political campaigns and advocacy initiatives and is a founding member of Georgia for Democracy. Tim has served as President of the Young Democrats of Dekalb, as a DPG State Committee Member, as a member of the Young Democrats of Georgia Executive Committee, and as a partner in Yellow Dog Consulting. As the newly hired Executive Director of the Young Democrats of Georgia, Tim will share some of the group’s exciting new programs to engage youth voters and give us a preview of the Young Democrats of America National Convention which will be held next week in Dallas.

We hope you'll take time out this evening to join us. Please bring friends!
Light refreshments will be served.

FCDP Meetings are held on the second Thursday of every month (except December), at 7:00pm, always at the CWA Hall.
