Presidential Leadership Forum

We've heard Bill O'Reilly bitch and whine about the Democratic Presidential candidates attending YKos - whatevah!

On Saturday, August 4, there is a main forum for all the candidates. After the main forum each candidate will hold 45 minutes breakout sessions.

Since the wonderful BfD readers have contributed greatly for me to attend YKos, I'm going to let you guys decide which Presidential candidate breakout session I will attend and live blog.

Have at it:

  • Bernita,

You when you have the chance to see history, DO IT! and the "history" here is seeing the first female president on the history or our nation as many times as you can during the campaign.

Also, I will mute you during the Vine next week if you go to a seminar where a stares at you guy throws big rock :-)

  • Special bonus for all you BfD'ers: I'll cover one of the sessions Bernita misses. Scout's honor. :)

  • Real History is seeing America's first culturally diverse President who is willing to talk with our "invented" enemies as a means of resolving conflicts instead of perpetuating them.

Also he is the candidate who has spent his time helping people up instead of climbing over them.

Bam...... the sound when a Hil is leveled.

  • ROFLMAO Big time - "Bam...... the sound when a Hil is leveled.". You got that off big time.

G-Squared, glad to know that you will be in attendance. It's gonna be crunked fer sure.

  • How about history as the return of real populism to this country and the revitalization of the work ethic that made us great in the first place?

Unfortunately, the white guy in the room is still the most radical of the bunch (okay, yeah there's Kucinich, but I mean someone that isn't a perennial also-ran).

I'd love to see a serious Hillary-Obama fight though. Let the center nuke itself and open the path to the left wing.

  • Yes, Ron Paul (anti-Iraq War, anti-Drug War, anti-NAFTA, anti-WTO, eliminate the IRS, limited government) is a good candidate, but he's hardly what I would call left wing but he is definitely is Populist.

All of those ideas are popular with me.

But I thought we were limiting the discussion to Democratic candidates.

  • how about the one candidate who was actually done stuff a president does (be an executive, handle diplomatic relations better than anyone else in the US, done something with immigration, knows how to have good energy thats not dependant on the mid east), Bill Richardson.

Oh, and did I mention he would help us with hispanics?

  • Yo Bernita.. I heard you have like 17 new best friends,, how about directing all of us uncool people who aren't going to those blogs that covered the respective candidates?

This way everyone will be happy and get covereag if their candidate doesn't win the vote for you to attend, and thanks Greg!

Oh yeah "everyone happy"..my bad Bahhahaha..

  • As governor of New Mexico, Bill Richardson expanded anti-discrimination laws to include sexual orientation and gender identity. He provided state health insurance for domestic partnerships and signed into law the state's first hate crimes legislation for crimes based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

He is someone who understands this as a 'human rights' issue instead of just a crime issue.

You have to show some love before dealing with the hate.

He will make a great Secretary of State.

This makes me think of the Goo Dolls remake of that awesome lyrical masterpiece "Give A Little Bit" by Supertramp.

  • giving SoS would be short changing America on his expertise.

  • Definitely a huge Richardson advocate. I have found myself in the position of helping with another candidate and hope that he gets the SoS position. The problem is that there is serious possibility that he would not receive such a nomination from the president. Having said that, as Democrats we need to practice a little idealism at this time and pick the candidate we like the best, instead of confining to superstars. We have a qualified candidates, lets cover all of them.

  • That's "Goo Goo Dolls."

  • no I bielive he is right it was supertramp first.

  • I agree I think the biggest star is not always the hottest! come join me at outthedummies.com
