The White House briefing on Libby's commutation was quite lively. If anyone's got video or know where it is - please post.
One female reporter asked whether the "someone in the administration owes the American public an apology over the outing of CIA personnel." Snow said it shouldn't have happened and then moved on to the next reporter. The same female reporter then followed up with, "So you think someone should apologize to the American public?" Snow rubbed his eye and said, "I'll do it. I apologize." and then moved on.
So there it is - the administration has apologized.
At one point, after this, several reporters were quite pissed off and saying very loudly that a) Libby obstructed justice and b) Snow was insulting their intelligence.
Love it.
Does this mean the media will finally stand up to the Bush Administration?

I wish that will be the case, but doubtful... this is the same group bumped Mike Moore on Larry King for that vapid piece of slag- Paris Hilton.
No.
This has been another episode of painful, yet short answers to great questions.
Man or man, if ever there was a time for The White House to play nice with the press - now is the time. They are just so cocksure.
I would be enjoying this but for the disturbing pall it leaves on our justice system.
Happy Freakin' Fourth of July.
