Sonny skates free, Ron Sailor faces the music

By Ataru Atlanta on August 14, 2007 11:25 PM | Comments (5)

You'd think that after all the shady BS Sonny and his cohorts have pulled that the fuzz would be on the other side of the aisle, but no, it's Rep. Ron Sailor who's gotten the "You are the weakest link - goodbye!" memo. Rep. (for how long we don't know) Sailor, hanging out in the east DeKalb/west Rockdale area with our friend* Randall Mangham, has found a way to both owe $1100 in UTILITIES on a house in Gwinnett and to bounce the check to pay for that *huge* utility bill. Let's not forget about driving with a suspended license and failure to appear in court; there's also the small matter that Rep. Sailor's booking sheet listed a Norcross address, which last I checked is only "in district" for values of "in district" including "NOT".

(I haven't seen this anywhere yet on the blogosphere, which suggests that it's being deliberately ignored - yeah, it sucks when our people turn out to have their own vices, but really, we're not well served by worrying about the beam in the eye of Glenn Richardson while overlooking the beam in the eye of one of our own. Rep. Sailor, meet Michael Vick.)

Sailor might not be the talk of the blogosphere, but my phone has been ringing off the hook from members in the African-American religious circles. yeah, I actually do have some that are friends - they keep a tally of the few heaven points I have left. They are pissed and dismayed at Rev. Sailor's behavior.

How many knew that Rep. Ron Sailor was also a man of the cloth?

He actually used to own a condo in my building, he was massively behind in his condo dues, the board looked at garnishing his salary as a rep, but other creditors kept beating us to it.

Also, who was the last post-Talmadge politician offspring who ran for office and were successful in that office?

Unacceptable answers include Michael Julian Bond.

Jane Kidd comes to mind.. had it not been for all the icky re-districting and all, I bet she'd still be serving.

Still early, but John Eaves seems to have avoided the cowpies so far.
