It's that time again. Time to brush up on your campaign and grassroots organizing skills for the upcoming political season! In August, September and October 2007, there's no shortage of quality training to help get your political game on in time for 2008. For more details and complete sign up information, please see www.fultondems.com.

Camp Obama
August 24th thru 26th
Camp Obama is an intensive three-day training program for volunteers who want to take their commitment to Barack Obama’s campaign to the next level. Supporters will learn more about the campaign's vision for America and how best to get organized in their communities.

DFA Training Academy
September 8th and 9th
The DFA Training Academy is coming to Atlanta, Georgia on September 8-9 for two days of comprehensive campaign training for candidates, community organizers, campaign staff and volunteers. Co-hosted by Georgia for Democracy, Young Democrats of Atlanta and Atlanta Stonewall Democrats.

Emily's List Candidate Training
October 9th and 10th
EMILY’s List offers a terrific training opportunity for pro-choice Democratic women in Georgia and surrounding states. EMILY's List has initiated a program designed to recruit and train women to run for and serve in elected office in the states. Whether a pro-choice Democratic woman is currently serving on the school board, or in the State Assembly, or just beginning to think about running for elective office, this training will provide her with the skills and inspiration needed to successfully run for office.

this is gonna sound dumb but is the camp obama training general training or is it geared toward the obama system?

IRE,

I believe it's geared towards teaching people how to relay a message full of happy go lucky rhetoric, and no actual in-depth solutions :)

At least when it's over you'll be able to wow a crowd!

IRE,
RD's sarcasm aside, I'm pretty sure it's for people who intend to use their new mad skillz to support Obama, so it'll be pretty campaign-specific.

it's a volunteer recruitment tool, making people feel invested in the campaign, take ownership of it, etc.
