Or well, er, not? Jeeze I'm losing count.
Headline of the week so far. "Probed"? Did you really want to use that word?
WA-GOP State Rep. Richard Curtis, a lawmaker who voted against domestic partnerships for gay and lesbian couples and opposed an anti-discrimination law to cover sexual orientation, goes for the gold in this department. When I posted last night, Dan Savage over at Slog kept sending me kinkier and kinkier news on this Curtis, who "engaged in mutual sexual activities" with male escort/porn actor Cody Castagna. The legislator initially said that he was "helping out" Castagna with gas money (to avoid declaring that he was paying for sex). I found another update from Dan this AM, and Curtis got more than a "thank you" for the $100.
The police report shows that Curtis spilled the beans, as it were, and the gory details burst this homophobic pol's closet w-i-d-e open.
~snip~
What's hilarious about this story is that Curtis was attending a retreat with fellow GOP legislators to discuss strategy for the upcoming legislative session, and for some reason, he didn't stay at the Red Lion Hotel with his colleagues.
This story broke yesterday and I've been following it on Pams House Blend. It's a winner. Even more here.

well, they've given the Dem gays a LOT of laughs and ammo. It's what we've always known just becoming public over and over again. bad news is it will drive the crazy ones (yes Nancy Schaefer, I'm talking about you and your girlfriend Sadie) further into craziness.
