Hello all. I've been speaking with some of you about our efforts locally in Fayette County to get Kevin Madden the 50% + 1 vote he needs to win on December 18th. We have been phone banking for over two weeks now. Its been a core of 6-8 with a number of people coming out as they could. As we move from ID'ing voters to working on GOTV turnout we need to reach out to you our friends and neighbors. For a special election just before Christmas its going to take all we've got to inform people their is an election, their is a Democrat running, and oh yeah come out and vote December 18th. We have set up a number of upcoming events. We are canvassing supporters we've located in our phone banking efforts. We will be going out on this Saturday the 8th. Meeting up at the Peachtree City Starbucks at 8:30 am to canvass in two three hour shifts 9am-12 and 12-3pm. We will be finishing up our phone banking at the Starbucks with cell phones between 9am to 3pm for those who don't want to canvass. Or would like to do one shift on the phone. We will be knocking on doors of 1's and 2's, handing out material on Kevin, reminding about early voting locations, and inviting to a pre-election volunteer appreciation night Sunday the 16th between 7:00-9:30 pm at a local restaurant/bar. Please let friends, family, and coworkers know about our efforts and volunteer opportunities. Attached is the most updated info on dates and times for the GOTV effort. We just need more volunteers!
