President Bush is attempting to rush legislation through Congress that will pardon himself against possible war crimes. In addition to all the other serious things this is, it’s just plain tacky.

That thing is just nasty in so many ways.
That should be a top priority if we can get the proper majorities in Congress and the WH.

more digging reveals this is from september 2006 and it was the Military Commissions Act of 2006. and yes, it passed.

I would be interested to find out what that legislation was and if it passed with that language intact.

FWIW, I think that video is from September, ’06.
The scroll across the bottom mentions Jim Jeffords and Ben Cardin.
Not sure exactly what legislation they’re talking about.
