In commentary at the Conservative Political Action Conference last week,
Erick Erickson... conceded that progressives currently enjoy an advantage over conservatives online—though he attributed it to an asymmetry in free time, since conservatives "have families because we don't abort our kids, and we have jobs because we believe in capitalism."

I wonder if Erick will bow down before Bezerko and I for our vast superiority since we both have jobs and didn't abort our son. We also have two dogs and a cat and own our own home that constantly needs cleaning. Maybe now is a good time to mention to my sweetie that I want a maid for my birthday?
We volunteer our time for 3 campaigns and are working very hard with a local climate action control group.
This is in addition to the time we spend with our families who live close by.
I guess we hate America.
I'll be patiently waiting for him to kiss the hem of my gown.
CPACers are full of shit.

Maybe he should quit blaming other people and accept responsibility...isn't that their mantra?

Wow....what a pig. He seriously thinks progressives don't have families OR jobs? Then why in the hell do I show up to Building 12, Corporate Square every day? And who puts that money in my bank account every two weeks?
What a moron.

This was not always the case... progressives were scarce until communist abortions became internet-enabled. In fact, I'm having one right now as I'm typing.

Unfortunately Jules, so many people do listen to him. I guess that's why I like to call him on his crap.
But you are right, I don't want his cooties. Right wing nutjobs are icky.

Actually, to expand on that, it really came to me right as I hit post on the last one.
I like to point out that my life isn't that much different than his, other than I'm right and he's wrong :)
There are just as many of us on the left side of the aisle who's lives could mirror his except that we have empathy for our fellow man and want to see everyone succeed, not just those that have supposedly pulled themselves by those mythical bootstraps.
And why is his definition of family any better than anyone elses? There are all types of families that produce happy, healthy citizens who want to see Amurika do well.
People like him often need to be knocked off their high horses, but so often aren't. I'm just tired of being told that because we are liberals that we're aiding and abetting terrorists and that our lives doesn't count as much as his.

The irony is that Erick blogs for a job and is basically getting wingnut welfare to do it.
The capitalism he speaks of must be the subsidies he gets from Eagle publishing after the Michelle Malkin and Ann Coulter royalties are paid.
But clearly, this must mean we need more Democratic bloggers on the front page of PP. *Sigh...*

He also refers to it as the "Democrat" Party.
Allowing Bobby Kahn to post on PP doesn't suddenly make him some sort of bipartisan moderate.

Not only do I blog more because I abort children, but I abort children so I can continue blogging. It is a dreadful cycle.

I think it's more likely that conservatives are just spending all their free time down at the militia tree stump shooting bullets into it. Doesn't leave much time for the internets.
Besides, it's hard to get excited about blogging after you've just capped a poplar branch about 40 times.

Rusty and I were talking about this last night (well, not *this* in particular, since I didn't see this post til today) and how a lot of people talk about oh, isn't Peach Pundit great, blah blah, but I wonder how much of it is obligatory lip service, and why people feel they need to pay that lip service. 'Cause personally, I don't give a shit about PP. To me it's totally worthless. I don't read it. It's a big vat of toxic stew as far as I'm concerned, and I like to stay *away* from big vats of toxic stew. And no I don't think Erick's some awesome amazing blogger or bipartisan or anything like that. I wonder why so many people apparently think PP is so great.

The bigger picture...isn't Erickkk an elected city councilman for the City of Macon - http://www.cityofmacon.net/CityDept/council/Ward5/Post3.htm
which is in Bibb County?
So if 63% of Bibb County voters voted in the 2008 Democratic presidential primary, is Erickkk then suggesting that 63% of the folks in Bibb County abort their children and don't have jobs?
How does one hold a position of power when they already have ill conceived notions of their electorate?
Maybe in Erickkk's world he only governs to the white conversatives living in Macon and not to any liberals, progressives, or democrats. I wonder how that works out when he votes for a particular ordinance or bill - does he place an asterik by his name and writes "for white conservatives only".
I can't believe there is no outcry fron his fellow councilmembers about his comments. Where is Mayor Reichert on this topic?
Now all ya'll that have front page privileges on PP ya'll know that Massa Erickkk ain't talking about ya'll. He's only talking about them other democratic bloggers. Definetely not ya'll.
