What's Your Issue?

icon_ballot.gifAccording to recent polling (we loves polls!), the economy is now the number one issue in America. Not Iraq. And much to Lou Dobb's chagrin, not illegal immigration. So what's your number one issue?

The appointment of judges that are not wackos. It frightens me to think that a R admin would appoint folks to sit on the bench for a generation who don't believe in privacy, equality or civil rights.

For most of my adult life, abortion has been my number one issue. This election, it's probably Iraq. But appointment of good federal judges is up there pretty high, too.

I am not particularly worried about the economy, because I've never really voted my own economic self-interest. If I did I'd be a Republican.

I'm feeling very meta this time. Restoring the U.S. global prestige which was lost over the last six years is number one.

A good economy is not just about one's own self-economic interest..

It's about jobs, health care, education and keeping people out of the criminal justice system.

Universal Healthcare. It's time.

Tim [TypeKey Profile Page]:

I'm with grift on this one, iraq, afghanistan, North Korea, et al.

Close second is global warming / energy

I'm going with the economy then probably health care.

Amber [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Universal healthcare, reproductive justice, and civil liberties.

Listening to and implementing expert opinion (rather than suppressing and editing it out) would probably get most of the way to what we all need. So I'm 'a go with that.

BEZERKO [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Destroying the myth of market evangelism. Responsible government leadership that not only cares about its citizens but is strong enough to act on that care.
