National Election Results here.
Many thanks to everyone who came out to Amsterdam tonight. It was a great party. Congrats to Team Obama in Georgia! And thanks to Team Hillary in Georgia for giving it a good run. Everybody rocks.

Helluva a democratic turnout.
Treutlen County gave Richardson more votes than Fulton. Kucinich got more votes than Richardson in Georgia.
What an awful night last night was.
I think Hillary did really well in Georgia last night - it was clear she would not win the state, but looking at the vote totals for the Northern Georgia counties, she may come away with the extra delegate in some of those congressional districts.
That said, coming out of election, Obama did very well in AA voting, but also won big in places like Minnesota. Well done.
OK, so what does this all mean? I have read this morning variously that this proves that only Obama/Clinton can win the general, or that Obama/Clinton would spell doom for the party in the general.
It means it's going to be a long year. One of them will eventually secure the nomination, but it won't be decisive. Oh, and it means Shelby will be voting for McCain in November, because he's like that.
It means that they are virtually tied in pledged delegates right now, and will probably still be tied after the contests over the next 2 weeks. Ohio and Texas become hugely important. Cash on hand and fundraising to pay for media, field offices and direct mail become hugely important. Persuading undecided superdelegates to endorse becomes hugely important.
It means nobody knows WTF is going to happen.
it also means no one can f'up..
seriously best behavior and all that rot. Maybe a taste of who your cabinet might look like will help too.
More endorsements will be sought. curious if GA people are still going to be helping?
Apparently, Clinton is calling all of Edward's previously committed super delegates personally.
I was very proud of Georgia for last night! I want Chuckabee to stay in the race and keep fighting with McCain and Romney. Oh, and, thanks for choosing Obama!
CNN is saying Clinton got 540 delegates last night and Obama picked up 539.
At this point, counting superdelegates (you shouldnt be counting FL and MI at this point...tsk) Obama is down by around 93 delegates.
I think he makes that difference up with the remaining contests this month. I don't see any February contests except possibly Virginia that Clinton is going win. She didn't win a single caucus yesterday, in fact, except for NM, she got trounced in all of them.
Wisconsin, Washington and Maine are holding caucuses. Plus Obama will be strong in the DC, Maryland, Louisiana, and Hawaii primaries.
Yeah ok we're not talking gobs of delegates here, but Obama made California largely irrelevant yesterday by pursuing a 50-state strategy and going after voters in places like Idaho and Alaska, to win 13 states.
Plus Obama has a huge money advantage over Clinton right now, and the calendar gives him ample time to campaign hard in Ohio and Texas and other states down the line he wants to get a foothold in.
Going from a 20 point national deficit a month ago to tying the Super Tuesday delegates yesterday was a huge Obama win.
Listening to all the spin last night made my head hurt.
I got sucked into the CA hype but didn't think there was any way Obama was gonna get withing 15 points of Clinton in NJ or MA.
Obama will have a chance to rack up delegates over the next few weeks. Virginia might be close but I gotta think that Obama will win by about 6 points there.
I'll be back in Wisconsin next week so I'll have the chance to phone bank, canvas and lit drop before the Wisconsin Primary on the 19th.
One bit that was obnoxious was seeing CNN calling the Republican primary a "three-man race." Any objective look at the delegates numbers from last night show that McCain smoked Huckabee and Romney. I'd like to see how they plan to catch up when McCain's a third of the way to the finish line while they are barely off the start.
Meanwhile, when we were still messing with two or three small states, CNN couldn't wait to write off Edwards, despite the fact he was pulling nearly as many delegates as the other two at that time.
Arg.
Great party last night. Props to all the Dem orgs.
CNN is in rare form today. Apparently a tornado hit a Baptist college in Tennessee, leveling two of their dorms, and nobody had yet been announced as having died; the CNN anchor said, "well you have to think that being a Baptist school had something to do with it, why nobody died, I mean." As opposed to the tornado hitting it in the first place, I guess.
Is this a new plan to get more viewers from Fox? Perhaps their thinking goes if McCain is the nominee, maybe some of the evangelical viewers are up for grabs?
Hey! I might still be able to vote Obama in November, you never know!
But I cast my futile vote for Biden yesterday and wash my hands of all this celebrity nonsense.
Last night's party at Amsterdam was AWESOME!!! The place was packed, and we had folks supporting both candidates. It surpassed all my wildest dreams, and we met some good people to lure into the YDG fold :)
Speaking of youth...word is that the under 30 vote was 17% of the Democratic primary, or about 177,000 voters UNDER THE AGE OF 30!!! The GOP only had 105,000 under 30 voters, although I'm disappointed they got that many.
The under 30 crowd went for Obama 75%-23% for Clinton. 2% stuck with Edwards. And Shelby with Biden :)
I know it's frustrating to not know who's gonna win the nomination, but this is probably the most exciting election of our lifetimes. No telling if it will happen again when we can enjoy it like we can now. The energy and enthusiasm is on OUR side....I'm pretty stoked!

shoot, sorry about that...I got an error, and didn't think it went through.
Clinton loans herself 5 million... I think this isn't good eh?
Sorry that this is off topic, but I can't wait for Friday for the Open Thread.
Does anyone know of any legislation currently in committee or otherwise being considered under the Gold Dome that would give tax breaks or other incentives for environmentally friendly practices? i.e. getting tax breaks for hybrid cars
Thanks!
Jules... its the beginning of the end. She has staff working without pay right now too!
Sorry siri, she's just raised 2 million in 2 days, so I'm pretty sure she'll be just fine.
Obama raises over 7 million ONLINE ONLY since Super Tuesday polls closed. Where is the press? CNN just did an entire segment on Clinton raising almost 3 million and not a word on Obama's online fundraising.
