I've gotten a turnip and a bomb mixed up before. Actually, at the time I didn't think it was a bomb, but it sure looked suspicious just sitting there in Piedmont Park during a NORML rally. I thought more like maybe a hidden camera or a microphone. But upon further reflection, it COULD have been a bomb. And I don't think it was actually a turnip. Maybe a rutabaga, or a large tulip bulb. I'm not sure. My memory's a little hazy. But I can see how you could make the mistake anyway. Just as threatening as that Aqua Teen thing. And just think what would happen if someone sent a salami or something REALLY dangerous looking. I mean, Omaha Steaks is probably going to go out of business! That meat is in vacuum packed pouches, then packed in dry ice, and it's all inside a styrofoam cooler, and some of the cuts have bones in them. How the hell is Homeland Security supposed to tell if that stuff is real or not?
I also once mistook a stromboli for a hub cap, but that's another story.

Wow, the price of wheat is 2.5 times what it was last year! (Mostly due to diversion of food grains to ethanol production.) That's like gas jumping from $2.50 to $6.25.

Wow, so there were people who actually thought Michael Stipe might be straight?!?!? Really?
When I was in HS in the early 90s, the rumor was that he was dying of AIDS :( This was during the "Losing My Religion" craze, which (for those who know me) had its lyrics altered by me to become "Losing my Sanity" in honor of my AP Chemistry class :)
