Big thanks to Rep. Rick Crawford, Regina Roberts (11th District Vice Chair), Mason Brumby (Polk Chair) and everybody from the Polk Democratic Party for all of their help!

Angela won to represent Hillary
Will Fowlkes won to represent Hillary
Beth Hand also won to represent HRC. I know these folks worked their butts off, and are deserving of this honor.

5th Congressional District reporting in. Obama votes being counted now. Some folks still gathered and chatting.
I expect results by 5PM or so. LOTS of people here today - no official count but I estimate 1100 or so.
Great gathering of enthusiastic Democrats!

Wow! I have never been prouder to be a Georgia Democrat than today. Dennis Marks asked CD1 first vice chair Jaki Johnson to direct our caucuses. The Ware County Courhtouse was FULL. There literally have not been that many south Georgia Democrats come out of the swamp to elect DNC delegates since 1988.Even with unexpected numbers, Jaki and her volunteers handled everything "smooth as silk." Thanks go to her Ware County volunteers and a young man named Andy from Folkston Georgia who started attending DPG events at age 14. BTW, Sgt. Jaki did all this was being Ware county Dems chair and getting ready to launch her second campaign to attempt to oust doing nothin' Hatfield from the House.
I conducted the Hillary caucus where Beverly Leapheart won the only Hillary delegate seat from the 1st. I was able to leave Waycross by 11:30. But Jerome Tucker and Jaki were still counting Obama votes.

Joann Locascio from the thrid cd won a delegate slot as an Obama delegate! I can't wait to tell Rubyduby!
In the 7th, I didn't hear who won the Clinton delegate slot. The room was noisy, and I couldn't tell which guy won.
Patricia Ann Smith, Steffini Bethea, and Preston Harden were selected as Obama delegates, and Megan Kline won as an alternate.

Unwind? I can't seem to get away from politics. I've just finished recording the latest Georgia Politics Podcast (posted soon at www.gapodcastnetwork.com) and will soon be chatting with my buddies on the Kudzu Vine.
But later this week I'm going to see Bruce Springsteen!

I haven't heard a word about the 6th for Obama.

I got permission from my wife to run at the State at-large level if I want to : ) We have a conflict that day...May 24th is our 20th Anniversary party and our families are coming on from PA and OH. BUT the party isn't until 5pm!
I'm still mulling it over. The loss wouldn't have bothered me if it had been an honest, clean race.

Hrmm, I'm somewhat disappointed with whoever posted the list last week. I saw George Hooks' name listed as an Obama delegate and suddenly his name is gone and other names are added.
Goof or not, next time they start throwing names up on the website, everything should be correct!
