On the road to Denver..

icon_balloons.jpgCongratulations to everyone who won a delegate slot on Saturday! For the winners - and others planning on being in attendance - how do you plan on getting to Denver? Are you driving the 1,400 miles in a road-trip style? Booking a round-trip ticket? Is someone organizing a caravan / bus of sorts?

If this turns out to be a brokered convention, it's something you don't want to miss.

  • Using frequent flyer miles.... :)

  • Ok, you win.

  • My 5th CD co-hort works for AirTran and said he could get me a buddy pass?

  • Don't forget that you can help Angela get to Denver by donating here: http://campaignwindow.com/...x.cfm?Fuseaction=contribute

The DNC recommends that delegates budget $2000-$3000 for the trip. Gasp.

  • Hotels must really jack up the rates! I managed to stay in Europe for two weeks during peak season for less than that.

Besides, if we're going brokered, you may as well get some stuff paid for. Somebody should benefit from this thing going sour...

  • Re: Costs

I think it's probably closer to $1500 and ONLY if you're not sharing a room with anyone.

  • Thanks Paula for the plug!! (And thanks to you and Catherine for your generous donations just now!!!!)

Odin, the budget is also for getting there too, plus getting around while you're there, in addition to hotel and food.

I do tend to forget the rental car. But I did pay for the flight to Paris from Seattle.

Best of luck to you - try not to get caught in any floor fights that are too heated.
