Character and leadership are legit to look at, so long as they aren’t “character” and “leadership.”

Like the flag pin thing – the resistance to being stampeded into empty gestures just for show is a very little something I liked about Obama.

Something big like McCain dumping his first wife for a young hot sugar momma should be suspect. Especially for a “family values” candidate that is of the party of stepping up by one’s bootstraps. Marrying into old money doesn’t sound much like the old Gantry work ethic to me.

However, that’s the kind of work for campaigns to do. It’s the job of the “important” media to look at these people’s records and then take them to account when they are lying. Again, for example, when McCain’s aides are having to get creative to figure out how his idiotic Kool-Aid economy ideas are supposed to actually work.

Boring debate. However, I do think the questions about the lapel pin and Obama’s pastor are important. It gives insight into his character. Some will disagree, but I think character does matter when voting for President. I’m certainly not deciding this election on just the issues since the moderates are gone, so character and leadership are going to play an important role in who I vote for.

During this election we’ve seen a series of “professional journalists” prove they are not up to the task of moderating a debate. In 2012, none of them should be allowed to run a debate. Give it back to the League Of Women Voters.

Or maybe the people who run the National Spelling Bee. You know, someone both competent and impartial. Which is what I thought journalists were supposed to be.

We all lost that particular debate. Clinton, Obama, and especially America.

Both Clinton and Obama should condemn this particular debate and maybe talk about extending the Fox News boycott to ABC unless they behave better.

Because you know they’re pulling this shit in the general. McCain will benefit hugely from being able to ignore the issues (every single one of which he is a LOSER on).

Pretty overwhelming smack down on ABC, Charlie and George from just about everything I saw this am.

Interesting to see the “old media” gang up on them, but equally nervy of same to ask us to vote for who one..huh… the real question is who lost, and which issues never saw the light of day last night.

“In perhaps the most embarrassing performance by the media in a major presidential debate in years, ABC News hosts Charles Gibson and George Stephanopolous focused mainly on trivial issues as Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama faced off in Philadelphia.”

What I notice about the header is that it seems to emphasize the artwork instead of the title which might make people think substance is more important than form. The shadowing of the the swoop at the top helps focus attention to the title. The dramatic swoop also makes it seem that the blog will be dramatic and not subtle in anyway.

I forget the rest of MelGX’s lecture. As you can see though, not only was it good, I rembmered stuff and learnded something.

Not one substantial issue talked about 50 minutes.

Those 2 stooges moderating need to be whacked right across the knees.

Help me out here…..Is this really what HRC supporters want to see?

ABC zooms to Ed Rendell, Chelsea Clinton, Philly Mayor and some dude during Clinton’s opening.

ABC doesn’t zoom to anyone during Obama’s opening because.. he has no friends / relatives?
