And the list is out!

icon_lester.jpgDelegate Slates for Saturday election.

The Democratic Party of Georgia just sent out an email to some of the State Committee members (not me, FYI) that included a list of the delegates selected by the two campaigns.

As outlined in the Democratic Party of Georgia Delegate Selection Plan, the Presidential campaigns have a "right of refusal" of any person applying to be a pledged delegate for that campaign. The campaigns may reject a potential delegate candidate for any reason, and they do not tell the Democratic Party the reasons for any rejections after their review.

I couldn't find the list anywhere on the DPG site - if anyone does, please leave the link in comments.

Complete list of approved delegate candidates is below the fold.

Congrats to everyone going to Denver!

I hope that the folks who were not selected can put the experience they did gain to good use, not whine about it and be good sports.

This was probably one of the most difficult and competitive years to run as a delegate. In 2004, many of the disricts had almost no one running and if you could fog a mirror you got to go to Boston.

What a difference 4 years can make.

Random Q - does anyone know who's going to be the cool Georgia blog that gets to sit with the delegation?

Though I don't know some of the people on there, the names I did recognize were great choices for the most part!

Congrats sndeak! You finally got the spot you rightfully deserve :)

Odin.

Tondees Tavern got the nod for the State Blogger Corps. We're all thrilled that Flack will be there to represent!
