David Sirota holds his own on Colbert.
Another reminder about "Forward" v "Reply All".
How to run a company into the ground and come out with $28 Million...
A year from now I plan to be lounging here.
UPDATE: Not to be confused with the new Jolie/Pitt digs...
But tonight I'll be holding a fundraiser for my friend, Phyllis Huster, who is running for State Senate in Washington State.

"A year from now I plan to be lounging here."
That's a pretty reasonable price if you can get 12 people to go.

Anybody else getting those crazy-ass B*b Am*s emails? I usually just delete them, but sometimes if I have a minute I scan them for the sheer creativity of it all. Reminds me of Mel Gibson in "Conspiracy Theory".
Anyway, today he mentions that his most precious possession was stolen from him, and it's somehow related to the kidnapping of his family.
His most precious possession? The last set of drumsticks used by the drummer from Rush on the 2004 tour.

I've tried a dozen time to unsubscribe from his list. He promises to remove me, but just keeps sending them. What a strange, strange man.

And if you want to compare and contrast both Hillary and Barack's climb up into politics (and motivations, connections) versus J. McCain, here you go:
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/05/29/us/politics/29mccain.html
Maybe it's slanted or something, but I find it really telling that McCain was lured in by high-flying Washington (maverick, for sure) and mentored by his father and grandfather's friends on the hill.

Hey JerryT,
This seems to have worked for me....
Mr A**s,
While I sympathize with your plight, I must admit that there is nothing that I can do to help you. Please be so kind and cease and desist all communication with me. I wish you well in your endeavors.
Thank you.
Havent heard from the guy in 4 days.

Just 'cause it is Friday (and I'm mean):
"People think she has a large margin, she doesn't," he said. "You add in the so-called Blue Dogs [conservative Democrats], she has trouble passing anything, because they are a pain in the wrong part of your body."

Another little something ...
This is why I have no trouble with "eat the rich" when I see just how shallow and sad these people are. Things like "OMG, I don't have a 7 figure salary any more and my gold-digger wife is going to leave me." Or "my kids won't get into the cool Exetor parties - I might be considered a normal person!"
Yeah, when you lose your *only* house or go knocking on random doors in Hampton street to ask college kids for change, we might get some empathy. Or on a lower level, watch your neighboring town's middle school literally decay before your eyes for lack of funds.

Maybe I'm a hater, but I find a great number of these concerns pathetic.

Reid's remarks are kind of ironic. Obviously one issue does not make you conservative or liberal, but if I remember correctly, he's pro-life. That's a conservative stance that's definitely at odds with the Democratic Party.
Take out the Blue Dogs and there is no Democratic majority. Most of the freshman are either Blue Dogs, New Democrats, or have moderate-conservative leanings.
As far as the Senate, take out Ben Nelson, who is arguably more conservative than some Republicans, and well, we're split. Remove other conservative leaning Democratic Senators such as Mary Landrieu, Mark Pryor, Blanche Lincoln, etc.. and we no longer have a Senate majority.

For those unable (or unwilling) to read The Continuing Saga of B*b Am*s, I felt I just had to pass along the content of the latest emergency communication from the ex-spy/oppressed marijuana rights activist/network administrator/anti-spam consultant:
"Attention President Gore,
California is secure."
