So last week at Friday Happy Hour a friend told me Atlanta was now part of Google Street View, where you can see a 3D image of most addresses in the city. Wow! And sure enough, today I saw an article in the AJC making that announcement. Of course I had to check it out. Got to see our office! And then I thought, ok, I know what a lot of Atlanta looks like, but I wonder if Denver has it! They do, and here's the hotel where the Georgia Delegation will be staying:
You can click on the arrows to move down the street!
UPDATE: Dang, looks like this blog won't allow IFrames-- just click on the link to View Larger Map and you'll see it....
UPDATE: Actually it looks like Google's the one having trouble displaying the iframe embed. Go figure.

I've been checking this out to cruise the Las Vegas strip (since I've never actually been there). Turns out a lot of the photos are at night for some reason.

Does that mean you can pre-plan your path from the ...er, restaurant? Sweet!
What little I've seen of Denver in person kicks ass, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Had a similar geek moment when I realized that MARTA had finally come to Google Transit.

Odin, you can cruise the path of the Monaco Grand Prix, or your path from the Louvre to a favorite cafe. It's great for vacation planning!

Yeah, I'll be sure to do that in the future. I'm not quite high-roller enough for European vacationing just yet. I sold some labor to get myself to Germany for three months (working there the whole time). If you know the local language, I heartily recommend it.
If you don't know said language ... it's still fun, and a learning experience.
Ich liebe das U-Bahn.

Jerry,
"Turns out a lot of the photos are at night for some reason."
It's hot and you're too hungover to go prancing around the strip during the day.
