Shirley has declared the airport a "gun free zone", but Republican State Rep. Timothy Bearden said he would walk into Hartsfield-Jackson Airport carrying a handgun yesterday. He subsequently chickened out, much to the disappointment of the media gathered to cover the showdown. Too bad. They might have charged him as a terrorist and sent him to Gitmo.

Well, the kind of guy that feels he needs a gun to protect his candy ass on MARTA isn't going to have the courage to spend a night in prison, I guess.
