Recent polls show Jim Martin within two points of Saxby. Gasp. Is it possible? Please discuss.
Edited to add:
The same poll now says incumbent Saxby Chambliss, a Republican, leads Martin, a Democrat, by two points, 46 percent to 44 percent.
Thirteen days ago, Chambliss led the challenger by 17 points, 53 percent to 36 percent. Chambliss lost seven points in the latest polling and Martin picked up eight points.
Because the margin of error for both polls is 3.8 percent, the poll shows that Georgia's U.S. Senate race is effectively tied. (emphasis added)

This is a pretty amazing thing. Great news!
Still going to go with my gut feeling on this one that Obama doesn't have to win the state for Jim to take the Senate seat.
Having Jim on our elected-side come 2010 would be heaven.
Just sayin.

I wonder if the poll includes the normal likely voters or if they take into consideration that African American Turnout and the youth turnout will probably be higher than most presidential elections. If it doesn't include those voters, they may be in a better position if we make sure people know to vote for more than just POTUS
What makes the poll legitimate is the 52-44 McCain lead.
Y'know, they really don't like Saxby over at PP.
The local Ron Paul fanatic down the street from me has a Martin sign posted in his front yard. I got mine too!
Who's running this year?
