The Maverick and the Mistake coming to GA

By Mel on November 7, 2008 11:45 AM | Comments (6)

Tom Crawford reports:

John McCain will come to Georgia to campaign for Sen. Saxby Chambliss -- Chambliss said Friday the GOP presidential nominee and possibly Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will campaign for him in the runoff election with Democrat Jim Martin; Martin has asked president-elect Barack Obama to make a campaign appearance as well but has received no confirmation yet; runoff election will be held Dec. 2 because Chambliss did not get 50 percent plus one vote in the general election . . .

I don't understand why this isn't a national priority for the Dems. Barack should already have said he is coming down, and Hillary's email this past week should have contained a link to Jim's site, and it didn't even contain a mention.

I feel like we will end up with Harry Reid and his 3 wives.

I think everyone is taking a little time to figure out what to do.

I'm pretty sure there is going to be some major national effort expending here. Maybe in the process, a lot of the Virginia / North Carolina folks can help DPG crack the new code.

Lawdy I'd love to be there to great them with something appropriate, like a map of Africa or in a bathtowel.

Perhaps a copy of the consititution or the bill of rights?

Come on whadda think?

I'm going to rickroll there event.

No lie.

We can't realistically expect Obama or Biden to make a trip right now. They are sort of busy at the moment. On the other hand, McCain's and Palin's schedules just opened up, so what else do they have to do?

But I hear you about Hillary. It would be great to have her and/or Big Dog make another stop. Might be fun to have some celebs here too.

Maybe Barack could just beam in via hologram. Er sorry, I mean tomogram.

I hope we get some attention from Washington, but I hope it doesn't take the form of more bad-math BS ads from the DSCC.
