The AJC editorial board endorses Jim Martin, Jim Powell, and Sara Doyle.

Have you seen all the Jim Martin ads? What are your favorites? How about the other guy running? We talked about them on Kudzu Vine Sunday - take a listen.

Do it! Vote today. Need information? Check out the DPG Runoff Page.

This is your Election Day Open Thread.

Holy cow, I just heard from someone who knows that they are stopping every single car at a Dekalb polling (I think it was Dekalb, not Gwinnett) and the police are demanding paperwork before they'll even let voters into the parking area, never mind the line. "legal" is on it, apparently the police are being used to intimidate people away just long enough for them not to be in line at 7 pm.
Turnout over here in Athens stank. All the provisional voters seem to have learned from the General, and gone to their correct polls this time.

I was not able to park anywhere near the entrance to my poll, despite my handicapped tag, because there were busses parked there waiting to take the kids home. I talked to a few of them, though, and one of them admitted he was registered but had never voted, so in he came w/me. It was very sweet.
How's everyone elses day going?

I really wish the voters had picked Knight or Cardwell or someone who didn't put people to sleep speaking. Exciting your base is part of turnout, and Martin really couldn't excite people and Chambliss had his partisans. I'm happy to see Sara appears to have pulled it off though.
