Rural white Georgians are not going to support Thurbert Baker for Governor. And, neither are African-American voters, who are disgusted by Thurbert Baker’s snubbing of their support over the years, as well as controversial rulings by Baker (such as in the Genarlow Wilson case). Looks like Roy Barnes will secure the Democratic Nomination.

What no endorsement from Mayor Ivan Allen or even Mayor Hartsfield? That’s as expected. And in the BfD unscientific survey (currently), Roy’s just about escaping the dreaded run off possibility. (Which may be more likely this year in both camps). Which may or may not inspire confidence in the outcome of the July primary. Which again, is quite unscientific and really depends heavily on circumstances like the weather & such. The race’s never truly done until it’s run. And you just never know what might happen in the interim.

When you look at the known knowns & the known unknowns? If you think you know what you know? Why not make some boodle on it by starting a betting line over @ Betfair? You might already be a winner. JMP
