Jackass Saxby

On June 18th, Saxby Chambliss said the following in his weekly newsletter: “During a time of economic hardship, I don’t believe we should allow provisions such as the extension of emergency unemployment benefits to expire.  But I do believe that Congress should find a way to pay for those extensions.”  On June 25th, he repeated that statement.

This week?  Chambliss, along with Isakson, voted against the extenders bill.  Unfortunately, my previous translation was correct.

“Hey, I’m Saxby Chambliss. While I normally don’t care about the ‘small people,’ I’ve been reading a lot of polls that says it’s good in these hard economic times to pretend that you do.”
