Interesting

In my heavily Republican precinct, at 8 a.m. this morning, there was one person waiting to vote, and one other person leaving. I’ve seen more people there for a SPLOST vote. I don’t presume that this anecdotal snapshot predicts low turn out statewide, but it’s interesting. Certainly, if turnout is low in Middle and South Georgia, that does not bode well for Deal.

Largest precinct in Cartersville & Bartow Co. saw about 400 voters by about 2.30PM which I reckon to be at or below 10% so far on the day. Which is not too bad considering. But about average I imagine for most runoffs. And yeah, up here in the sticks, we’ve still got A/C. The whole of Ga. would be practically uninhabitable w/o such a convenient Yankee invention. JMP

I was voter 259 at Dodgen 01 a Middle School, 15 mins ago ( 4:30) Generally a heavy Republican Poll. Even numbers of Deal and Handel signs, but none of the other runoff candidates.

We vote in the auditorium, but you have to walk through the just-recently-used-by-middle-schoolers-gym-on-a-98-degree-day, to get to the machines.

    Very pleasant.

    Not.

    Voting FAIL.
