Want to Elect Some Democrats?

Democrats in Georgia can win in November, but as Governor Barnes is prone to say, “We want you. We need you. We’ve gotta have you.” Truer words have seldom been spoke.

You are invited to  join Gov. Barnes and fellow Democrats  tomorrow night at 6:30 p.m.  to support Victory 2010, an effort chaired by former Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin, this is the coordinated campaign to elect our slate of Democratic candidates in 2010.

We have already opened and staffed sixteen field offices all across the state and made tens of thousands of contacts with Democrats encouraging them to vote. We are also reaching out to key constituencies through initiatives like the Georgia Women VOTE! effort.

If you like to support Victory 2010, but can’t attend the event tomorrow, then contributions can be made here. Funds given to Victory 2010 go directly to support electing Democrats in Georgia THIS year. How much we are able to raise, and how quickly, will directly impact our ability to contact voters during the next 40 days. Contributions, small or large, are all welcome.

If you’d rather give time than money, then that’s great, too. Get more information, and sign up here to volunteer.

If you’d like to host one of the dozens of house party events for women across the state (and get some pretty cool chum and the opportunity to interface with candidates in the bargain), then go here to sign up.
