SPARKing the Fire in Each Other is a community event/fundraiser purposed to delight the senses, excite the mind, and build and strengthen a community working towards reproductive justice for all.

An eccentric program filled with incredible performances, outstanding awardees, and a flirty dance party, this body and sex positive space guarantees to be a night to remember. From body painting, aerialist, burlesque dancing, and pole dancing extraordinaire, each year we up the ante to bring you a memorable celebration with all proceeds going to benefit SPARK Reproductive Justice NOW’s innovative work to build and sustain a powerful reproductive justice movement in Georgia and the South.

    This past weekend, the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) “held its annual fall Board of Directors meeting in Charleston, S.C.” In attendance at the event were major Republican leaders throughout the state, including Gov. Mark Sanford, who spoke to the audience gathered there.

    One shocking moment at the NFRW meeting involved a special event called “The Southern Experience.” In this event, attendees dressed in clothing reminiscent of the Civil War and the antebellum South. As FITS News reports, South Carolina Senate President Glenn McConnell (R) participated in the event by dressing up as a Confederate General, and at many points posed with African Americans dressed as slaves:…”
