Sorry, I can’t manage to squeeze out one tear over this.

From Politico

The Democratic Leadership Council, the iconic centrist organization of the Clinton years, is out of money and could close its doors as soon as next week, a person familiar with the plans said Monday.

The DLC, a network of Democratic elected officials and policy intellectuals had long been fading from its mid-’90s political relevance, tarred by the left as a symbol of “triangulation” at a moment when there’s little appetite for intra-party warfare on the center-right.

Oh and puleeze take the word “triagulation” down with you. UGH!

Out of curiosity, what has Harold Ford done well lately?

Bruce Reid was hired by Joe Biden to be his COS? Rahm Emanuel, Bruce Reid, I don’t get it. Maybe it’s a twisted triangulation strategy like taking an enemy and promoting him or her to a do nothing job. If so, I guess you can say it’s working. Then again, you hear Obama talking about Americans in the “sensible center.” By sensible, I hope he means stupid, because buying into the metaphorical thought of the center is stupid. The real world doesn’t work that way.

A victim of their own success, their past directors & leaders litter the DC landscape, inside & out of the current admin. And Mr. Ford? Get’s paid pretty well for just looking pretty & not doing much. Which is the point, I imagine. No tears but vigilance needed. JMP
