Last night the Georgia House passed SB10, making way for cities and counties to vote to allow Sunday package sales. Governor Deal has indicated that he WILL sign the legislation. As soon an November 2011, some voters will be able to vote. Looks like those holiday Sundays will be a lot livelier in some parts of Georgia.

A good argument might be made that we’ve been set so far back inside of the last decade that we’re closer to the 19thC.. than the 20thC, let alone the 21st. Fiscally at least that’s what it looks like:

I was somewhat amazed that the other two states which completely ban alcohol sales on Sunday are CT and IN. Even Utah allows you to buy beer at a grocery store on Sunday.
