Take a Bite Out of Crime

What is this a reference to?
Hmm…
Your friendly neighborhood Atlanta Police Department started the “Clean Car” initiative a few months ago, just thought I’d pass it along.

What they want you to do is don’t leave any valuables visible in your car. Making your car look like nothing expensive is in it will keep dudes from breaking in. Huh. The things some people have to be told. Also they want building owners, attendants &c. to ask parkers if all valuables were removed.

“But Ed”, you may say, “I do remove everything. I’m not at risk.” WRONG. WRONG.

APD claims windows were smashed in for 15 cents. Just saying.

Similarly, although not mentioned in the statement, don’t make it look like no one is home and folks won’t attempt to break in. Leave a light on, have the radio playing or whatever.

If you get what the photo is alluding to, put in the comment. First correct answer wins a prize. No joke.

Somebody smashed in my passenger side window in Athens last year to steal a 1990’s-era CD Walkman. I hope whomever it was is enjoying my “Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas” soundtrack.

Dang, that’s what I get for not checking in on the blog til late in the day. I knew why McGriff was there RIGHT AWAY! I loved watching him play. Well, not as much as I LOVED watching Maddux.

Yeah, well Dante also described Buckhead as one of the levels of Hell in “The Divine Comedy”.

Go read the original version–it’s in there.

Winrar! Except for your prediction about Uggla. That invalidates your winning.

    Enjoy that contract Braves fans!

The Crimedog? Fred McGriff. Sure, make him spokesperson. Or trade Uggla for him.*

    * j/k about Uggla, I’m still saying he’s a good pickup for the Braves, will come thru in September.

When I lived in Buckhead, my car trunk was jacked open and thieves stole my jumper cables. So, valuables are relative.
