For a Georgia GOP that didn’t even have the cojones to pass an outright repeal on the ban on Sunday Sales, this report is likely to make only nominal waves.

According to a new report by the State Lottery Commission, and reported by Jim Galloway, three casinos in Georgia could bring in $1 BILLION annually.

But, of course, we must bring ourselves back to reality.  For a GOP that refuses to do anything remotely substantive to solve Georgia’s serious budget woes, and one that would rather kowtow to the Religious Right then think of proactive solutions, this is nothing more than a pipe dream.  Although you would think that a ruling political party would do anything possible to bring in state revenues, especially when that party has also ruled out anything that even rhymes with “corporate tax reform,” Georgia Republicans will, undoubtedly, prove us wrong.  But that’s not really a surprise, is it?
