Thanks P/M, I’ve got a local fundraiser I’ve already committed to or else I’d be there, sounds like fun. But got to take care of the locals first. JMP
@JMPrince thank you for helping a local Georgia Democrat
Thanks Gunner, Better now that it’s on for Sunday, I might be able to make it. There was a visitation for a departed friend @ the same time Sun, but I’ll make the funeral on Mon. RIP, Michael Dean of Cartersville. JMP
Fun time had by all, and overall still the best looking crowd of Dems in the state. That’s our Obama crowds, and there was easily about 500-1K there eventually.
Hits & misses: The Biden ‘Cheers Champion’ drink cozy, selling briskly and one of the better ideas on the night. Bought one for the first time in ages. Definitely a hit.
The 3-4 bar stations, some moving quicker than others, but adequately ‘watered’, always a plus. Replete with popcorn too in the low rent district.
Stagecraft updating needed Dept; the huge pharaonic bas-reief behind the stage did not need key lighting, and if so, the banner [Gen 44] needed to cover the upper torso of said Pharaoh & yes, kneeling supplicant. The polity of any of the Kingdoms real or imagined was neither particularly just or democratic in any sense of the terms. I know, one person in 5 caught that, but still bad form & frame. But comes with the Egyptian revival motif that made the Fox justly famous, so something to be expected & worked around.
Overall a good time, and an excuse to take the wife out to dinner too. JMP
