Could Rick Perry aid in the rise of a 3rd Party in Georgia?

I am sure that most of us laughed (I did), when we heard that not only did Rick Perry fail to qualify for the Virginia ballot but that he is suing to get on the ballot (I laughed at this as well). But then I started thinking, what if he won his day in court? Could he actually sue his way onto a ballot?

Georgia has some crazy laws when it comes to folks trying to get on the ballot who are not a Democrat or Republican. Could Georgia be forced to change the way it qualifies candidates if someone sues here in the great State of Wisdom, Justice and Moderation? If so we could see the rise of a 3rd Party here in Georgia.

I know there are some differences in the lawsuit and 3rd party ballot access but it seems as though the spirit of having people being able to get on a ballot runs through both…

Is that a picture of Rick Perry as a Chia Pet?

It’s totally fine if it is.

What, no mention of a state righter who with a platform deploring activist federal courts filing a federal lawsuit to overturn state law?

I think Iowa and NH will demonstrate he’s dead in the water. His evangelicalism doesn’t play that well outside of the South, and he’s either dumb as dirt or thinks the electorate is.

Yeah maybe, and just in time for the season on all that ‘wisdom, justice & moderation’ too. Not much to be seen & heard from under the Gold Dome on that score. More on other Prez candidates here too, the non chia pet versions: http://felixsalmon.tumblr.com/post/14950441249/mitt-romneys-pile-of-rocks-bath-newt-gingrichs
