Words cannot express how much I love this story.
See the man. Or hear the story. Both June 26th.
Shocked. Shocked I say. Looks like State Senator Rogers’ chips are being called.
Is he a unicorn?

re: Piedmont Driving Club story…. it looks like 660 people had read the article from DeadSpin. I love the power of FB and “sharing”. The man who wrote the letter appears to be a partner at Alston and Bird.
They’ve got a word for that sort of ‘tomfoolery’ @ the Club. Weds. Before or after lunch, depending on the weather. SSDD.

[Trying to get this out of moderation hock]. Ok, so a miserable jobs report and SSDD on unemployment. How about some useful news?
From the Conference Board, a nice simple nifty chart,
“Projected Job Openings By Occupation in the Next Decade”:

The Supreme Court’s campaign finance legacy has undermined the “whole purpose of the Constitution,” to have a “functioning, representative” government”.
And a perennial favorite: Why we’re fat or more precisely fatter.
By a professional economist who takes a short stab at the issue, “Why the surge in obesity?” 5/31/12, By Lane Kenworthy, sort of fact checking ‘The Weight of the Nation’ aired by HBO.

Turns out we’re now spending too little on food, an unnoticed and unheralded economic revolution starting in the last 50-60 years that benefited everyone worldwide, until it turned out to be too much of a good thing. Where’s Dr. Suess when we really need him? JMP
