I attended part of the Cobb League of Women Voters Legislative event last night. To say that the GOP members are all singing off the same sheet of music is and understatement.
Tippens, Cooper and Setzler had some winner quotes about the medicare debate. Short answer is, “GA has a budget short fall, we can’t trust the Feds and folks shouldn’t be added to healthcare rolls.”
Hunker down children and old people. No help for you coming from folks who run the store under the Gold Dome.
It’s all personal responsibility or something.
Tippens also favored us with awsucks quote of his fathers about not feeding feral cats because they’ll stop hunting, and one from Lester Maddox about a better class of prisoner… you can’t make this up.
Did I mention one of the co-sponsors of the event were the AKA’s and American University Women. Those quotes went over like lead balloons.
Rep. Wilkerson and Rep. Bruce attempted to respond to the crazy with humane and realistic proposals…bless their hearts.
I wonder if they will be able to privatize MARTA before the Milton secession.
