Young Democrats to hold Training, this saturday

Did I mention it was FREE!

(Atlanta, GA) This Saturday, the Young Democrats of Georgia will host a free campaign training at the offices of the Democratic Party of Georgia in Atlanta. This training is completely free and open to all those interested in running for office as a Democrat, as well as those interested in working for Democrats on campaigns in the coming election cycle.

The training is a continuation of Young Democrats of Georgia University, created in 2011 to serve as a resource to Democrats young and old who are eager to get Democrats elected to office, and grow the base of grassroots support for Georgia Democrats.

“We have seen that trainings are essential in getting Democrats elected to office. However, a lot of times they are too expensive and too far away from our members” says Louis Elrod, YDGU Director and Third Vice President of the Young Democrats of America. “The Young Democrats of Georgia saw an opening where we could make a difference in Georgia, and we have trained hundreds of Democrats over the past few years at no cost to those attending”.

“Georgia Democrats are excited to host this event, and we look forward to working with these candidates and campaigners this election season” says DPG Chairman DuBose Porter. “These young people are the future of our Party, and we applaud the Young Democrats for making trainings like these such an important part of their organization.”
