Blog for Democracy is a group blog covering progressive politics in Georgia, USA. The site was launched in January of 2004 to help demystify the process of political involvement for new activists. Although a few of the original and current authors serve(d) in elected or appointed positions within Georgia and/or county Democratic Party organizations, this website is not, and has never been, officially affiliated with any political party organization.

The content herein, as well as our core readership, is generally liberal/progressive. At our best, we focus on Georgia progressive politics. At our worst, we’re all over the place.

Our volunteer blog team includes: attorneys, small business owners, IT specialists, Democratic political consultants, teachers, labor leaders, professional writers, a fashion maven, and an active duty soldier. The views expressed by individual authors do not necessarily represent the views of any group, organization, business or entity with which they may be affiliated or employed, nor do they necessarily represent the views of other authors of this website.

As well, the views of commenters are not necessarily representative of our readership as a whole or of the owners or authors of this website. Our comments are open, which means anyone with a valid email address can leave a comment. We are not responsible for the content of comments. We reserve the right to delete any comment for any reason whatsoever. In extreme cases, such commenters may be banned from posting further entries.
