My inbox this morning tells me that one of our favorite State Representatives and newly minted Democratic House Caucus Treasurer, David Wilkerson, along with freshmen State Rep. Kim Alexander, have introduced the “Tax Accountability Act of 2013.”

Federal political candidates and organizations (including state political parties) are required to file monthly reports to the Federal Elections Commission. The previously months reporting (in this case, March) is typically filed in the 3rd week of the month after (in this case, April 20).

Word has come through the tipline that Rep. Gloria Tinubu (D-Clayton County) has resigned her House seat effective immediately. She is midway through her first term, succeeding former Rep. Georgeanna Sinkfield. Our sources inform us that Rep. Tinubu is moving out of state, but no word on the why.
