White takes Falcons' money and runs -- back to camp

So much for the protracted impasse. This was quick, Roddy White and the Falcons meeting halfway and agreeing to one helluva contract for a guy who's had only two standout seasons.

White was promised $18 million in guaranteed money as part of a six-year, $50 million package. The average stacks up with any pass-catcher other than Larry Fitzgerald, in the middle of a four-year, $40 mil agreement with $32 mil guaranteed.

Falcons brass said the season-ending injury to receiver Harry Douglas would not loosen their purse strings with White. Looks like some extra change fell out of said purse, though.

Good deal for White financially. Good deal for the Falcons by getting Matt Ryan's choicest target into camp, but it cost them a pretty penny. Lots of 'em.
