BCS keeps Coastal champion Georgia Tech at No. 7

Well, everybody ranked above Georgia Tech won this past weekend, so the Yellow Jackets remain No. 7 in the BCS poll. But nobody was more impressive than Tech, which spotted Duke 10 points before rattling off 49 straight and gave them an extra carry-on item for the trip home.

The ACC's Coastal Divisition title trophy.

Break out the sunblock. The Jackets are bound for Tampa for the league championship game on Dec. 5. Win there, and they'll be back in the Sunshine State -- in Miami for the Orange Bowl.

Their quixotic hopes for the BCS big game dwindled with TCU, Cincinnati and Boise State remaining perfect. By handling Georgia and, most likely, Clemson, Tech could pass an unbeaten Boise but probably not TCU or Cincy.

Still, what's to complain about? Everything is clicking, especially Jonathan Dwyer, whose league MVP campaign went bust early. But in the last four games, he's amassed 610 rushing yards and six touchdowns. How about MVP for the season's second half?

At last, a well-deserved rest for the Jackets, who enter their first off-week. It's gonna be a sweet (potato) Thanksgiving for Jackets Nation.
