Georgia coasts while Richt toasts penalty-committing Dawgs

Happy now? Not only did Georgia win a football game -- well, a glorified scrimmage, 38-0 over Tennessee Tech. But coach Mark Richt, a bulls-eye for criticism because he is perceived as too soft -- promptly pulled out individual Bulldogs who committed penalties.

No mo' Mr. Nice Guy.

Now, much of the Bulldawg Nation might prefer to shut things down after the regular season. But the team can get a bowl in some small southern town with two combined wins over Auburn, Kentucky and Georgia Tech. Only the players can decide if that's worth fighting for.

Besides the shutout, the only other news of note from Saturday was sounded by the Four Freshmen, not to be mistaken for the preppy singing quartet. (Ask your parents. Or grandparents) First-year guys scored UGA's first four touchdowns.

Which bodes well for the 2012 season.
