This is some BS

I missed this in April but saw a link over at BTT and followed it.

Where to begin?

Democrats get a brief 1-2 sentence description.  Republicans get a full paragraph?

Some of the names on the lists and some of the names that are missing…

Only 8 of 50 Top Democrats are women?  I don’t know if I should be annoyed with Democrats or with Mr Sheinin for that one.

But, seriously, spell-check and google are your friend, Mr Sheinin.

That would be better as ‘sparse’ in the 1st line above perhaps. But think about it. Who do we have left reporting who might easily ID all the main ‘movers & shakers’ of either party or both? It gets worse when you consider that they might actually have to Do some reporting to get there, right? JMP

There’s often no rhyme or reason for it, and is often limited by the reporting & ‘knowledge’, no matter how limited it often is. That might sound fairly obvious, but mostly? They’re almost always disappointing for one reason or another. Either they’ve missed the last generation, stuck on ‘old times’, perfectly clueless, or some generous combo of all 3 & more. But very few actual ‘reporters’ would have such knowledge today, and fewer still are at all inclined to ask. That’s too much like work. And reporting. JMP

I like – Amy Morton, Richard, Ray, Matt Weyandt (is there an L in his name?), Don Weigel, Michael Jablonski, Jason Carter, Alan Essig, Emmett Bondurant, Keith Mason, Ben Myers, Jim Martin,

Others have already been previously mentioned or I don’t know enough about them to say.

Ok, but disagree with Vernon, he might influence more people to NOT vote Democratic, enh, but I guess that’s still an influencer.

    Some they missed?

Tim Alborg – has helped keeped DPG solvent and able to fund what they want to do, no small feat

Natasha Patel – spearheading the Fellowship Program for DPG

Virgil Fludd – Has helped bring the Fulton/Atlanta delegation into some semblance of action, Thank God

J Craig Gordon – will continue to be an up and comer for a while

Shannon Marietta – has proven that young women can bust some chops on a statewide campaign

Patty Payne – has been slugging it out and pushing Democratic Action in NE Georgia for years against the grain

John Tibbetts – is providing Rural Democrats a map to retool themselves into office, mostly through perseverance and honesty

probably a thousand more I’m missing.

How so? Jason Carter is on the list. Roy Barnes is a candidate. I see your point but certainly he is a Democratic influencer. No?

They appear to have avoided elected officials (except Erik Ericson). Nevertheless, there are some obvious names missing.

No offense to trevor, but (not to pick on him) is he more whatever the adjective is than Kasim Reed? Did I just miss Kasim’s name?

Many of those left me scratching my head for many, MANY reasons.

ok, so some of the Dem names either haven’t been involved in politics in a LONG time or don’t really do anything in politics. weird, where the hell did they assemble this list?

On a side note, congrats to Angela, Page, Trevor, many more friends on the list.

Yes, congrats to all included. Having the vid proof of Erik Erickson’s well known flights into zoophilia might not get me anywhere close to being mentioned, but it’s still awesome to speculate. Here he is more than slightly enhanced, via Fox:

Jules, we need to work on making sure we have more younger people on our list… for sure.

Princess, you’re everybody’s favorite source on Dem politics. Including mine.

Next time Mr. Sheinin needs some background on Dem politics he best call one of his top Dem influencers and not me.

Congrats to all the Ds on the list, but also to Amy who’s blogging with us now as time permits.

Congrats to BFD Contributors Martin Matheny, and Page Gleason, and Angela Trigg!

I looked at that list and said, there is no way, that guy has no influence at all, but maybe that speaks to how little influence we have as a party. I tend to think of those lists as “would you put this person on hold?” and the answer for a lot of those people would be, yes, gladly.

Fun! And Catherine, you are now well & truly eligible for the New Order of the Shrill!

Beats just merely cranky any day. Sadly, mainly of & for economists. But still a fine distinction.

Is it just me, or are all of our people really old ( with a couple exceptions) and theirs are younger? Will look into this a bit more.

Oh and yeah, what Catherine said.

Congrats to the folks on the list, not easy and I’m sure they worked many thankless tasks to get there.
