Thursday Open Thread

Facebook has been starting to bug me anyway, but now he’s there.

If, like me, you feel like the coffee just isn’t enough anymore, you may be right.

Evidently, this is the shape of things to come.

I knew it was coming (or going, you could say).  So happy to be able to enjoy it.

The Youth Liberation Movement certainly has changed.  ThenNow.

Apparently their profit of 2.5 billion last quarter wasn’t enough.  Sign up quick or you’ll be paying for each and every click, tweet, or comment.

What’s on your mind?

Shhh. I’ll leave this likely off the front page for The Scariest Chart of the Day. Or Week: Via TPM & Calculated Risk blog:

“CHART OF THE DAY: The Scariest Job Chart Ever Just Got Even Scarier”, June 4, 2010:

If we’re supremely lucky, we’ll be leaving our Depression soon. But not too soon for the jobs picture, sadly enough. JMP

Any chance the Kudzu vine will have Smoot’s run off opponent on? I gotta love a gal who gets endorsed by Feminist Majority PAC, EMILY’s List, and the National Organization for Women PAC, her name is Terry Sewell

From a recent article from MS Magazine
” Sewell graduated with honors from Princeton, received her Masters degree from Oxford University, and her JD from Harvard University. She has served as a judicial law clerk in Birmingham, Alabama, to the Honorable Chief Judge U.W. Clemon, United States District Court (AL-ND), Alabama’s first black federal judge. As a lawyer, she also did pro bono work on behalf of at-risk young women and homeless families. She has done extensive work in the area of domestic violence and assisted in establishing a Domestic Violence Court in Birmingham. Sewell is also pro-choice.

If either Sewell or Smoot is elected, they will be the first African American woman to represent Alabama in Congress. “

“The nice thing about a caffeine hangover is you can get rid of it quickly by drinking coffee,” Rogers noted.

Ha. Yes, I think I’ll make myself a cup right now.
